Fleet Problem XVIII began on 1937-Apr-16, ranging from Alaska to Hawaii and Midway. Patrol Squadron VP-6F participated in the second phase for at least two days, defending Hawaii from a sudden attack. VP-1F showed similar activity. The intent of this exercise was to practice the tactics of capturing forward bases.
